Ferromolybdenum

 

In REACH, Ferromolybdenum is a ‘special’ preparation (not a substance).  This means that the intentionally added elements of the preparation (Mo and Fe) must be pre-registered and registered, (but not the preparation itself). 

Two registrations will need to be made to cover Ferromolybdenum for Reach:

  • One for Metallic Molybdenum.
  • One for Metallic Iron.

For the sole purpose of REACH Registration, it is possible for each Intending Registrant to obtain a Letter of Access that grants 'permission to refer' to the technical dossier of each substance.  The Letter of Access is obtainable from the Consortium that is preparing the technical dossier for each metal, i.e.:
