REACH Registration fees

For each substance you REACH-register, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) requires your payment of a REACH-registration fee.  The registration fee is payable per legal entity per substance or per intermediate.

Most intending registrants will register as part of a joint-submission (in accordance with the One Substance One Registration principle encouraged ECHA).   This incurs a lower fee than an Individual Registration.

ECHA registration fees are also differentiated per tonnage band and there are reduced fees for SME's (small and medium-sized enterprises). It is important to ensure you are correctly declaring your company size. Take the ECHA electronic SME test to check, and read their letter on this topic.
