Substances successfully REACH-Registered by the MoCon Lead Registrants

Missed the REACH deadline?  Make yourself REACH-compliant as soon as possible

(Visit our Licence to Use page, for molybdate-containing substances not listed below).

If you are a REACH Co-registrant (joint-submissioner) please read the text below these tables.

Hazardous Substances:

SubstanceEINECS NumberREACH Registered?
Roasted Molybdenite Concentrate (RMC)   289-178-0   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Molybdenum Trioxide   215-204-7   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!

Non-Hazardous Substances:

Substance

EINECS Number

REACH registered?

Molybdenum
  231-107-2   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Ammonium Dimolybdate    248-517-2   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Ammonium Heptamolybdate      234-722-4 &   234-320-9   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Ammonium Octamolybdate        235-650-6   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Calcium Molybdate                    232-192-9   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Ferromolybdenum Slags              282-217-2   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Iron Molybdate                             237-389-3   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Molybdenum Dioxide                  242-637-9   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Sodium Molybdate                     231-551-7   > 1000 Tonnes  YES!
Chemically-produced (synthetic) molybdenum disulfide  235-721-1

  < 1000 Tonnes  YES!

Important Note: The chemically-produced molybdenum disulfide listed in the above table is a substance manufactured as a component of catalytic mixtures used by the petro-chemical industry and it requires REACH registration.  It is not the molybdenum disulfide (EINECS 215-172-4/CAS 1309-56-4 & EINECS 215-263-9/CAS 1317-33-5) that is the naturally-occurring, non-chemically modified ore and concentrate produced by the mining industry that is exempt from REACH-registration, as per Annex V of the REACH Regulation (page 5, point 7). How to REACH-register:

Co-registrants (joint-submissioners) that need to REACH-register the above substances can now go-ahead and submit to ECHA their joint-submission dossier.   If you are a SIEF-member that is not a member of the Molybdenum Consortium, you will need to:

  • Join the Joint Submission for this substance in REACH-IT.  (You will receive the token to join the Joint Submission after you have purchased your Letter of Access).
  • Prepare and submit your joint-submission REACH-registration dossier to ECHA.  (After LoA purchase, MoCon will provide you with the token, a Joint-Submission Guidance Manual and a template IUCLID electronic i5z file to get you started).
